Workshop – The Job Market for Sexualities Scholars
Members of recent hiring committees will offer job seekers practical advice on what to expect as a candidate on the academic market. Topics will include challenges particular to sexualities scholars; racism, sexism, ableism, and other marginalizations on the job market; and the interdisciplinary academic job market. The workshop will also address academic institutional variations and the particular opportunities and limits they represent for sexualities researchers.

Workshop – Sociology Outside the Academy
Sexualities scholars working outside the academy will share experiences and insights with those considering work outside of higher education. Presenters will discuss the kinds of applied jobs available to sexualities scholars beyond universities and colleges and how best to prepare for these prospects.
